We're seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to join an Australian-owned independent distributor of building products, with a strong focus on providing ethically sourced building materials to Australia-wide locations. This role is ideal for a strong leader who leads from the front, promotes a safety-first culture, and takes pride in running high-performing and efficient operations. Role responsibilities: Workplace Health & Safety
- Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture across all warehouse operations.
- Conduct regular toolbox talks and ensure WHS policies and procedures are consistently followed.
- Monitor, report on, and proactively improve safety performance and compliance standards Daily Operations
- Oversee the end-to-end warehouse operation, ensuring the smooth and productive flow of goods from receival through to dispatch.
- Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective process enhancements.
- Maintain high levels of stock accuracy through cycle counts and effective inventory control practices.
- Optimise warehouse layout, storage utilisation, and overall operational efficiency.
- Lead, support, and motivate the warehouse team through hands-on leadership, collaboration, and active engagement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and safety.
- Manage team performance, attendance, and conduct in line with company policies and expectations. About You
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety practices, with a genuine commitment to maintaining safe work standards.
- A hands-on leader who is visible on the floor, actively involved in day-to-day operations, and supportive of the wider team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer and service-focused approach.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
