Manager, R&D & Government Incentives (Western Australia)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Manager to work closely with our newly appointed Partner as they grow our local Research and Development (R&D;) & government incentives capability. As a manager, you will lead client portfolios, strengthen relationships, and drive business process planning to optimise R&D; funding. You’ll also help shape the future of the practice, mentor junior staff, and further develop your consulting and leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements to identify and optimise tax incentives and government grants based on innovative technology activities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service and strategic advice.
- Interpret and apply relevant legislation to assess eligible R&D; activities and expenditure.
- Act as the main contact for finance and technical stakeholders, ensuring effective information sharing and collaboration.
- Provide coaching and support to junior team members.
- Partner with the new leader to meet practice goals and contribute to business development initiatives. About You
- Experienced at Manager level within an R&D; tax team, preferably in a Big 4 or Mid‑tier environment.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team.
- Comfortable working with technical concepts and translating them for different audiences. Benefits
