Your Role As a Drainage Maintenance Worker, you’ll be responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of drainage systems throughout a capital city; operating a combination eductor and jetting truck with a fellow operator on gullies, manholes and gross pollutant traps; periodic maintenance of roads and footpaths; as well as provision of a high quality of customer service to internal and external customers. Reporting to the Civil Maintenance Coordinator, you’ll be instrumental in keeping our operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Carry out drainage maintenance and minor civil works (cleaning, repairs, installations) using specialised equipment and trade skills; Interpret and update work through GIS systems, plan tasks, and ensure jobs are completed on time and to standard; Operate a range of plant, machinery, and vehicles safely and effectively (e.g. jetting truck, loaders, cranes); and Lead small crews, manage site safety (traffic control/signage), and maintain accurate records and reporting.
