About the prospect
The Emergency Department at Werribee Mercy Hospital is recruiting Registered Nurses to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Critical Care, in collaboration with Deakin University.
The role includes ongoing clinical support at the bedside and specialized education, providing an opportunity for skilled growth within a supportive environment.
By joining our team, you will develop a robust clinical understanding and ability to collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients receive high‐quality care.
You will gain a nationally recognised postgraduate qualification in critical care, learn to think critically, quickly and calmly in a range of emergency situations, and gain invaluable hands‐on experience and knowledge with the support of our dedicated Education Team.
Ongoing employment upon successful completion of the course.
What you'll bring
Current unrestricted registration as RN Division 1 with APHRA.
A minimum of 6 months registered nursing experience in the Emergency Department or an equivalent acute setting.
Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Critical‐thinking ability and demonstration in prioritising patients' care.
Commitment to furthering knowledge and continuing professional development.
Additional requirements
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
