Position Overview Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, the Senior Environmental Advisor will ensure compliance with company environmental policies and procedures, relevant regulations and all environmental commitments. Actively support and participate in environmental initiatives and promote environmental responsibility across the site and to contractor personnel. Key Responsibilities Environmental Approval & Reporting Prepare environmental approval and reporting documentation as per regulatory requirements. Interpretation of consultant reports, defining environmental impacts and preparing appropriate environmental impact assessment documentation. Prepare appropriate environmental reports, review, collect and manage relevant environmental data. Develop environmental management plans and detail environmental management commitments and conditions. Prepare for, conduct and document meetings with government and other external parties; ensure community consultation is conducted. Liaise with project teams, operations, planning and other departments to design projects and define environmental impacts and management strategies. Prepare Environmental reports including AERs, MRF, NPI, NGERS. Operations Support Facilitate the ongoing development of environmental management systems to ensure compliance with all approval conditions and commitments. Support ongoing rehabilitation and monitoring. Contribute to development and project studies. Support onsite initiatives for Indigenous engagement or projects. Coordinate Weed and Feral Animal Management programs. Coordinate onsite native vegetation clearing process. Provide education and knowledge to all associated departments. Coordinate inspection, compliance monitoring and field audit schedules. Surveys Coordinate and manage external technical specialist consultants and heritage surveys. Prepare scope of works, select consultants and accompany consultants on field work. Assist in field work as required. Team Promote and work collaboratively across the areas of mine infrastructure and operations to manage environmental risk and foster a culture of respect for the environment and native heritage. Educate and recommend relevant training for environmental monitoring or compliance. Engage in negotiations and discussions supporting the site operations team or corporate team to achieve access and approval requirements. Manage junior staff and provide mentoring. Qualifications A degree or diploma in Environmental Science. WA C class driver's licence. Excellent Microsoft Office skills. A friendly and proactive attitude. 4‐5 years of previous experience on an operational mine. Understanding of regulatory requirements.
