Job Description Chakich Tysoe specialises in all aspects of family law. We are committed to supporting clients through life’s most challenging times with clarity, compassion, and confidence. We provide expert legal advice and representation in areas such as divorce, child custody and parenting arrangements, property and financial settlements, spousal maintenance, child support, family violence and restraining orders. We are offering a Practical Legal Training placement on a casual basis (2–3 days per week preferred). This prospect is unpaid, with the potential to move to a paid role and/or a graduate lawyer position. Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Reviewing and summarising legal documents
- Drafting correspondence and assisting in the preparation of legal documents
- Preparing briefs to counsel (barristers)
- Undertaking legal research
- File management and matter administration
- Filing and service of Court documents
- Assisting with Court attendances
- General office and legal administrative duties Skills And Experience
- Punctual, reliable, and professionally presented
- Strong attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Prior law firm experience is not essential
