Key Responsibilities As a Senior Civil Designer at Peritas, your duties will include: Technical
- Prepare high-quality, detailed designs, drawings, and cost estimates for civilengineering projects (earthwork, roadworks, stormwater drainage, traffic management, water/sewage reticulation, etc.), adhering to relevant standards and the quality manual.
- Provide expert advice to clients on development requirements, ensuring compliance with legislation and conditions.
- Investigate engineering problems and develop effective solutions and alternatives.
- Ensure all designs meet prescribed standards, conditions, and quality assurance procedures within allocated timeframes and budgets.
- Continuously improving internal design systems and quality assurance processes. Successfully prioritise and manage workload to meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, drafting, and detailing personnel from project initiation to construction completion.
- Coordinate other essential services (e.g. electrical, telecommunications) as required.
- Plan and implement design aspects of projects.
- Examine documents and drawings for completeness and accuracy before client/authority submissions.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in discussions on work system improvements, including leveraging technology for information sharing, management, and quality control.
- Actively engage in reviewing work standards and monitoring processes, initiating recommendations for improvement.
- Assist clients to identify sustainable options and implications.
- Bring ideas forward on how we can improve the way we deliver our partner’s experience. Your Profile To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 7+ years of experience in design and documentation of civil engineering projects across land development.
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD , 12D Model (preferred) and Civil 3D
- Advanced Diploma of Engineering, Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology, or equivalent relevant experience.
