Contract Performance Officer (Newman)

With an administrative hub based in Newman, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, The Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) provides holistic primary health care to the individuals and families within the remote communities of Jigalong, Parnngurr, Punmu and Kunawarritji. PAMS aims to improve the standard of health of the Martu people and all Aboriginal people living in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia through the provision of community based, comprehensive primary health care services. We exist to promote the health and well-being of individual community members and to relieve sickness and the suffering of the indigenous community as a whole. We are passionate about providing the highest standard of patient care whilst incorporating a holistic approach toward diagnosis and management of illness. Role Description The Contract Performance Officer plays a key role in coordinating, monitoring and reporting organisational performance against contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all PAMS programs. Reporting to the Quality, Admin & Governance Manager, the role supports the organisation to meet funding, compliance and reporting obligations through solid data integrity, consistent reporting processes and timely submissions to funding bodies. Working within quality assurance, this position collaborates closely with Program Leads, Finance, Clinical teams and Executive Management to strengthen reporting capability, identify performance risks, and support continuous quality improvement. The role also contributes to improved health outcomes for Aboriginal people in the East Pilbara by supporting accountable, high‑quality service delivery. Qualifications Essential: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
