Senior Advisor – Occupational Hygiene (Western Australia)

About the Role Reporting to the Superintendent Health & Hygiene, you will act as Westgold’s senior authority for occupational hygiene. This Perth‑based Head Office position is Monday‑Friday with occasional site travel. Your responsibilities will include strategic oversight, statutory assurance and technical leadership to support a robust, consistent approach to health risk management across multiple operations. Key Responsibilities
- Govern and assure Westgold’s Health & Hygiene Management System
- Ensure compliance with statutory occupational hygiene requirements
- Lead the preparation of Annual Hygiene Reports
- Analyse and interpret enterprise‑wide hygiene sampling data
- Provide high‑level technical advice to site and corporate stakeholders
- Mentor and support site‑based Hygiene Advisors
- Conduct corporate hygiene audits and assurance activities
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders and regulators
- Monitor and advise on changes in relevant legislation and standards About You
- Degree or Master’s qualification in Occupational Hygiene or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining or heavy industry hygiene
- Certificate IV – Surface Ventilation Officer
- Noise Officer qualification
- Strong technical expertise with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
- WA C‑Class Driver’s Licence and National Police Clearance Why Join Westgold?
