Senior Property Specialist – Join Western Power and help shape the future of WA’s energy network. As a Senior Property Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in securing and managing the properties and land interests that make our clean energy transition possible. From leading complex acquisitions and leases to guiding disposals and subdivisions, your expertise will directly support projects that keep our communities connected and power a sustainable future. Your Role in Action
- Undertake detailed and complex commercial and financial analysis—including Net Present Value and Internal Rate of Return calculations, market analysis, and risk identification and mitigation—and present recommendations on complex property-related transactions.
- Perform sensitivity, cost‑benefit, and option analyses on complex property transactions to support informed decision‑making.
- Negotiate lease and licence agreements for Western Power property assets to achieve financially and commercially acceptable outcomes.
- Negotiate property acquisitions and disposals, and manage negotiations with internal and external stakeholders to secure required interests such as easements.
- Prepare high‑quality business cases and decision sheets for complex property transactions.
- Support and contribute to Western Power’s Safety, Health, Environmental & community programs. What Makes You a Great Fit
- Degree in a property‑related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of extensive or broad experience in a property environment, with deep knowledge of markets, principles, and legislation.
- Proven experience in property analysis and financial evaluation.
- Robust track record negotiating commercial transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, and disposals.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
