About the Prospect Our Client is seeking a Principal Functional Safety and Control Systems Discipline Engineer for an urgent 2‑month gap cover assignment starting early June. This role is pivotal in ensuring technical safety integrity while a permanent team member is on secondment. Key Responsibilities Specifically, you will provide specialist support for control systems and functional safety, ensuring all legal obligations are met. You will work alongside the Lead Functional Safety Engineer to challenge project teams and ensure high-level system design. Key tasks include applying Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and risk assessment methodologies like SWIFT to critical infrastructure. About You
- 10 years of experience in Electrical and Control Systems design.
- Active Functional Safety Certification (mandatory).
- Proficiency in PHA Pro software.
