Position: Site Senior Environmental Advisor | Company: Tier 1 EPCM in Mining | Site: Pilbara WA | Roster: 2:1 | Contract length: 12 months + contract What you will be doing:
- Overall collection of site data, managing permits and approvals and conduct regular risk and compliance inspections.
- Coordinate project induction and environmental management systems training
- Development and management of site environmental plans in accordance with legislation and company standards
- Provide general environmental advice and support for site-based construction and operations staff
- Conduct site audits and report the outcomes and recommendations to the Construction & Project Managers What you’ll have:
- Proficient in ArcGIS Pro software
- Prior knowledge of Land Disturbance Permit Procedures
- Fauna handling skills would also be desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or related fields, with experience in environmental approvals.
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth and State/Territory (preferably WA or NSW) environmental approvals compliance.
- Significant experience within the Oil & Gas, Renewable energy and mineral resources industries.
- Solid understanding of environmental and social risks in natural resources projects.
- Robust background in construction compliance, contractor management, auditing and approvals knowledge
- Strong at building relationships, collaboration, and negotiation.
