Maintenance Fitter (Camperdown)

**Reid Stockfeeds are on the lookout for experienced permanent full-time, maintenance fitters to join our maintenance team based at our Camperdown site.**

We are a leading Australian stockfeed manufacturer with bases across with five manufacturing bases covering all corners off Victoria, Southern NSW and SE South-Australia. Reporting directly to our Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for routine maintenance and checks, identifying and attending to defective equipment and responding to mechanical breakdowns.

**The role includes**:

- Responding to and managing breakdowns in a timely manner
- Implementing preventative maintenance programs
- Welding and fabricating small and large components
- Diagnosing breakdown issues
- Reporting regarding all maintenance and workshop related procedures, non-conformances and/or safety matters
- Ensuring equipment is maintained and presented to the highest possible standard
- Maintaining a clean work environment
- Ensure compliance and maintenance of high safety standards and regulations

**Selection Criteria**:

- Trade qualifications (Certificate III and Certificate of Proficiency) as a maintenance fitter or in final stages of completion
- Experience working in a manufacturing, food production or milling environment would be an advantage
- A sound understanding of preventative maintenance systems and techniques.
- Strong ability in fault finding & troubleshooting
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Cutting-edge problem solver
- Flexibility in regard to working hours which may include working overtime and weekends
