**About the opportunity**
The Australian BioCommons and Sydney Informatics Hub (SIH), University of Sydney are seeking an AI in Research Training Lead to design, deliver, and scale a national training program on the effective and responsible use of artificial intelligence tools in life science research.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- work closely with trainers, bioinformaticians, and data scientists at Australian BioCommons and Sydney Informatics Hub to identify training needs and create training opportunities
- deliver national, high-quality, hands-on training in AI methods tailored to life science research
- design, produce and present recent training materials aligned with international best practice and evidence based pedagogy
- contribute to the delivery of the Australian BioCommons national training program through workshops, webinars, and reusable digital resources
- represent Australian BioCommons and Sydney Informatics Hub in national collaborations with universities, institutes, and research facilities.
**About you**
- postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- demonstrated experience developing and delivering training in AI, bioinformatics, or digital life sciences
- strong working knowledge of AI, data science, and computational approaches used in the molecular life sciences
- practical experience with research computing tools and languages (e.g. Python, R, shell scripting)
- proven ability to develop reusable training resources
- experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
