**About the opportunity**
This newly created role has emerged due to the growth of the Prospect Development team and presents an exciting opportunity to shape its future direction. The position will involve strategic prospect identification and management as the team evolves. As responsibilities expand, there is potential for direct reports.
The role is evenly split between supporting the Sydney Biomedical Accelerator (SBA) and the Development teams within the Advancement Portfolio (TAP). You will play a key role in managing relationships with senior University leaders and in supporting the development pipeline for the Sydney Biomedical Accelerator (SBA).
As **Manager, Prospect Development**you will report into and work closely with the Associate Director, Prospect Development in developing the University’s prospect pipeline, domestic and international prospect strategies, prospect identification, prospect management, and customer centric relationship management.

- Provide leadership, mentoring, support and coaching for your team of prospect development analysts
- conduct research, both reactively and proactively, on individuals, foundations and corporate prospects, and donors
- screen prospective prospects or current donors
- derive gift capacity estimates for major and principal donors and prospects using available wealth indicators
- actively support the identification and verification of new prospects discovered through database searches and other proactive resources
- assist the development team in the prospect and solicitation strategy recommend prospect assignments and quality prospect pools to the team
- create profiles on major donor prospects
- provide metrics that enables the team to efficiently manage their prospect portfolio
- enhances the donor database with updated career information and wealth events
- prepare event briefings for senior leadership teams
- develop guides and reporting to support the teams processes
