**About the role**: The Energy Solutions team is currently recruiting for a **Commercial Finance Analyst **to develop and maintain proactive, forward looking financial analysis, in addition, be able to interpretate and provide recommendations to support both capital investment (including leases and working capital) and business operating decisions, as well as broader commercial matters for the Energy Solutions team**.**

**Key Deliverables**:

- Ensure investment decisions are effectively modelled including assessment and review a range of proposals across the Energy Solutions portfolio
- Support business decision makers and the Commercial Finance Manager for investment and business decisions, including the business case development
- Provide proactive forward-looking analysis, trend reporting and sound recommendations for the management of capital (including working capital) on an on-going basis to delivery business objectives of energy Solutions
- Provide support and contribute to the capital and balance sheet forecast process to ensure trend, assumptions and key driver are understood and delivering strategic objectives
- Develop, maintain and track Energy Solutions proposals to address gaps in current performance of the plan and to achieve the long-term strategic objectives of energy transition.
- Complete review and oversight of investment portfolio to ensure timely commercial insight into future investments and prioritisation of resources on initiatives to realise strategy and business objectives
- Provide support and contribute to the development of the Energy Solutions business plan, including capital investment and revenue growth
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate provision of proactive advice and support, including educating the business on project management approach, business case development and financial modelling

**About you**

We are looking for individuals with a ‘’continuous improvement’’ and agile mindset; able to manage and navigate ambiguity, complexity, and uncertainty; utilising structured problem-solving techniques as we build up our capabilities in the energy space.

This role is open to applicants with full working rights based in Sydney, NSW, Brisbane, QLD or Melbourne, VIC in Australia as well as in NZ with a willingness to travel/attend different client visits and/or conferences all over the country and NZ.

**Key skills and experience**
- Tertiary qualification finance, economics, accounting, engineering, or related discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge
- Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in M&A;, commercial finance, strategy, financial modelling, or valuations with preferrable exposure to electricity markets
- Knowledge of commercial markets and or energy supply chain
- Developing experience in managing projects
- Advanced analytical skills, including VBA, with strong capacity for proactive problem identification and solution development
- Solid people skills including the ability to effectively communicate, engage and influence key stakeholders to drive high impact recommendations
