Production Manager (Alexandria)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee end-to-end apparel production across our offshore suppliers. The role is responsible for managing timelines, supplier relationships, quality standards, costings and delivery performance to ensure products are produced efficiently, ethically and on time to meet delivery dates. The ideal candidate has strong experience in fashion manufacturing, understands garment construction and can confidently coordinate overseas factories across Asia and other global regions. Key Responsibilities will include: Production Management, Purchase Order and Product Management
- Manage the full production lifecycle from development handover through to bulk delivery
- Manage and set production schedules across local and overseas factories
- Forecast and place griege materials and bulk production orders on time
- Monitor critical path timelines to ensure on-time delivery
- Raise and manage purchase orders, production approvals and shipment tracking
- Analysis of stock position during sales sell-in period, evaluating size ratios and stock holding
- Work closely with design, merchandising and logistics teams and manage production meetings with all key stakeholders
- Maintain core product stock and information Supplier & Factory Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with offshore suppliers
- Onboard and negotiate business terms with new factory’s
- Negotiate pricing, MOQ’s, lead times and production capacity Quality Control
- Work closely with Garment Tech to oversee fit approvals and PP samples and they are completed on time to the critical path
- Manage shipment sample approvals, and bulk quality checks
- Resolve production and quality issues proactively
- Ensure garments meet brand specifications and global compliance standards Costing & Budget Control
- Manage garment costing and margin targets
- Analyse production costs and identify opportunities for efficiency
- Approve invoices and reconcile production budgets Delivery Coordination
- Manage purchase orders to ex factory date in line with partners delivery ship windows
- Communicate and approve any delivery shortages
- Work closely with logistics confirming all relevant bookings have been made with the factory’s
- Manage all open purchase orders, ensuing all Ex-Factory dates are correctly reported and delivered and closed out Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a Production Manager in apparel/fashion
- Experience in fast turnaround production to meet shorter sales and production timelines would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in managing offshore production along with strong supplier management skills
- Proven experience in costing negotiations and meeting margin KPIs
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to forecast material requirements and bulk garment quantities
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Experience in production planning and critical paths, with the ability to manage multiple production timelines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP/PLM systems and production tracking tools. Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Fashion, Production, Textiles or related field.
- Experience working with womenswear, menswear, activewear, or private label production. Key Personal Attributes
