Chef (Camperdown)

JOIN THE TEAM AT CAMPERDOWN COMMONS About the Role We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join team in Camperdown. This role is ideal for a motivated chef who thrives in a fast-paced, events-driven environment and takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality food, pizza experience in stretching and wood fire skills are a bonus. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes with a strong focus on grill service
- Maintain consistency, presentation, and quality during à la carte service, events, and functions
- Assist with prep and service across the kitchen as required
- Ensure the grill section is clean, organised, and operating efficiently at all times
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver smooth and timely service
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
- Assist with stock rotation, portion control, and minimising waste
- Maintain composure and efficiency during high-volume service periods Key Qualities We Are Looking For
- Genuine passion for food and hospitality
- Strong grill experience with excellent attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to perform under pressure, especially during busy events and functions Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in a similar Chef or Grill Chef role
- Experience in high-volume kitchens or events environments
- Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen standards
- Relevant trade qualifications preferred but not essential What We Offer
