At Sunnyside House, we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Cook to join our team to provide nutritious, delicious, and heartwarming meals for our residents. We are a small community minded not-for-profit organisation. Our Residential Aged Care facility is dedicated to providing outstanding care to everyone who lives with us. The size of our home allows us to ensure personal and genuine, quality care. What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious and appetizing meals, tailored to the dietary needs of our elderly residents.
- Ensure food is served in a timely, hygienic, and attractive manner.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the care team to accommodate residents' individual preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Foster a warm and welcoming workplace through the power of food. What We’re Looking For:
- Cert 111 or Cert 1V in Commercial Cookery, preferably in aged care or large-scale food preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and dietary requirements for elderly residents (IDDSI).
- Understanding of the Aged Care Standards
- A kind, patient, and understanding approach to working with older adults.
