- wherever their journey takes them. About the role We are seeking an experienced People and Culture Business Partner to support our above-store Retail central support teams during a critical period of transformation on a 6-month, max-term contract.
Based in Alexandria, this role partners with senior leaders across Property, Merchandising, Pricing and Commercial Operations, and the Retail Solutions Group, providing both BAU support and contributing to a large-scale upcoming project. This is a high-impact role that combines strategic partnering with hands-on delivery.
You will play a key role in supporting organisational design, coaching leaders, and ensuring effective implementation of people initiatives across a diverse portfolio.
It offers the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to meaningful change in a fast-paced retail workplace. Key responsibilities
- Provide advice and coaching to leaders on people matters, ensuring alignment with P&C; processes and policies across performance, reward, engagement, development and ER matters
- Partner with General Managers to deliver Business Partnering support across central Retail functions
- P&C; lead support to key transformation and change programs
- Analyse people data and insights to inform recommendations and drive decision making
- Support cyclical P&C; processes including goal setting, performance reviews, remuneration reviews and talent planning
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives, including Peakon feedback cycles
- Provide ER guidance where required and act as a point of escalation, working closely with the advisory team
- Support leaders in navigating complex people matters and determining appropriate outcomes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of people processes, systems and policies Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience partnering with senior leaders in a Business Partnering capacity
- Strong capability in organisational design and delivery of change and transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to coach leaders and build leadership capability
- Experience working with talent, capability and workforce planning frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret people data and translate insights into practical actions
- Pragmatic and outcome-focused approach, with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to quickly build trust and influence stakeholders
- Clear and confident communication style, with the ability to guide leaders through change
- Strong problem-solving capability and sound judgement in complex situations
- Experience in retail or similar fast-paced, multi-site environments preferred Benefits
