Candidates can explore more about careers and current opportunities at Role Description The Training Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Essendon Fields, VIC, responsible for leading day-to-day store operations while developing the skills and knowledge required to manage a high-performing retail showroom. This role oversees sales floor activities, supports team members in delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensures store presentation and merchandising standards reflect the Nick Scali brand. The Training Store Manager coaches and mentors team members, participates in performance feedback, and helps implement training programs to lift product knowledge and sales capability. Responsibilities also include monitoring sales performance, managing basic store administration, assisting with inventory control and stock displays, and collaborating with senior leaders on continuous improvement initiatives. The role is designed to build future store leadership capability, with structured support and coaching to transition into a fully autonomous Store Manager position. Qualifications
- Strong customer focus, with demonstrated skills in Customer Service and a commitment to Customer Satisfaction.
- Experience or clear potential in Retail Sales, including consultative selling and achieving sales targets in a showroom or similar setting.
- Capability in Store Management or supervisory responsibilities, such as coordinating daily operations, supporting rosters, and maintaining store standards.
- Proven ability or strong interest in Training and coaching team members to build product knowledge, sales skills, and service excellence.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers and colleagues.
- Organisational and problem-solving abilities, including attention to detail and sound judgment in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Previous experience in furniture or big-ticket retail is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn product ranges and systems is required.
