Description
Your role at St John of God Murdoch Hospital Join our Engineering team in a pivotal role that keeps our facilities operating at their best. You will coordinate reactive maintenance to ensure critical assets meet operational demands, while upholding Australian Standards and regulatory requirements through best‑practice, cost‑effective solutions. This dynamic position also offers variety, supporting the Engineering department with key administrative and reception coverage, making you an essential part of a high‑performing healthcare environment. - Job planning and coordination of reactive maintenance tasks (electronic work requests) in a computerised maintenance management system (MEX) involving regular interaction with Maintenance engineer, Engineering caregivers, ward managers and contractors/suppliers.
- Job prioritisation based on the priority allocation table.
- Manage the Engineering Service Mailbox.
- Manage new work requests and backlog management.
- Ensure accurate recording of time spent on job and perform productivity analysis.
- Escalate major breakdowns (affecting loss of function/potential business interruption) to Engineering Manager.
- Liaise with all stakeholders regarding work request progress and regular communication of job status.
- Generating reports
- Monthly reports for finance, monthly department KPI reports, and outstanding job reports.
- Ensure technical completion of job in CMMS.
- Save, link all quotes and service reports to CMMS and send quotes to relevant areas for approval.
- Investigation/follow up of supplier invoices/quotes/service reports.
- Support front desk when unattended including receipt and dispatch of materials.
- Facilitate contractor induction process.
- Coordinate and track repair of biomedical assets in coordination with equipment store person.
- Manage documents/drawings in the document management system and version control.
- Being part of this team means responsible for maintaining the operational status of the hospital and ensuring availability of equipment with minimum downtime.
- Assist the Manager of Engineering Services in the development of annual budgets.
- Support monthly monitoring and tracking of budget vs actual expenses together with administration officer.
- Certify job completion by external service providers and verify invoices for approval by Manager.
- Cost tracking and cost reports for review and optimisation of cost.
- Review of top 10 cost areas on a monthly basis and propose actions. You will bring hands‑on experience in computerised asset management and/or maintenance management systems, with the ability to understand asset management techniques and interpret those ideas into the Engineering Works Management System. With highly developed communication skills, including the ability to develop stakeholder partnerships, you will be self‑driven, dynamic and a result‑oriented professional who can demonstrate continuous self‑improvement. Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets is essential to the role. To succeed you will hold a minimum of two years experience in maintenance planning and job coordination. Due to the nature of engineering problems in a modern hospital, a good knowledge of all trades is required, including mechanical, plumbing, steam, air conditioning and refrigeration, carpentry, electrical and electronic controls in all aspects of hospital equipment and facilities. - Salary: $79,060 to $85,129 per annum, plus 12% superannuation
- Full‑time position, working 38 hours per week
