**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**
**Core Objectives Include**
**Work to a workshop schedule**
- The Leading Hand or 2.I.C will have a schedule that you will be required to run off, this will have a list of jobs required and in which order they are to be completed.
**Move material through the section to its designated area**
- Material is located throughout the factory and you will be required to source the correct material and bring it to the right plant equipment for processing / post process using various methods such as:
- TROLLEY
- WALKIE STACKER
**Quality Assurance Checklist**
- Ensure to have a competent co-worker go over your work at the required stages to catch potential oversights.
**Perform visual checks on products processed**
- Due to the nature of production work, errors and issues can occur, this is why it is imperative that Machine Operators are maintain frequent visual checks of products being processed.
**Separate cut parts by drawing / job number allocation number**
- Once the cutting process has been completed, Machine Operators are required to ensure all parts are placed with their correlating job numbers to reduce the risk of missing parts.
**Run machine processes as detailed from nesting**
- Machines are run through several output files, it is the Machine Operators’ responsibility to ensure that the correct methods are implemented to achieve the desired result from which ever machine has been allocated to perform the task.
**Diagnose and rectify day to day running issues**
- Due to the nature of production work, issues will arise throughout the working day that the Machine Operator will be expected to rectify as they arise.
- If, during that process an outcome cannot be reached, you are required to seek assistance from your Leading Hand or 2.I.C.
**Housekeeping**
- Give yourself some time to tidy up your work area from previous jobs that you may have been attending to, store your tools neatly and ensure leads are not improperly hung up, finally, clean your workstation/bench regularly to promote an efficient work area for yourself.
**Routine machine inspection**
- It is the responsibility of a Machine Operator to undertake frequent machine inspections, any issues that are found during these inspections should be taken to your Leading Hand, 2.I.C or Workshop Foreman.
**Job Responsibilities
- Whitlock Bull Bars**
**Use Rollers, Heating Torches, and Bandsaws to form product**
- Certain products that come through the production line require extensive works before they can be moved out of the section. This can include using a variety of plant equipment as well as the use hand tools to achieve the desired result.
- For example: Once uprights have been processed on the plasma, excess material is removed, slag is removed via hand linisher, the ends are then rolled using a heating torch to the desire shape and the correct numbers are written in the predetermined spot.
The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company.
**Other Duties**
- Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.

- Not required.
**Experience**
- Not required, though experience in running CNC machines desirable
- Use of hand and power tools desirable.
