Hiring! Our Client, HSP Ute Lids, is seeking an experienced Automotive Electrician to join their team. HSP is a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of innovative ute and 4WD accessories, specialising in electric roller covers, central locking systems, lighting solutions, tailgate systems, and vehicle-integrated technologies. Due to continued business growth and increasing demand for its products and services, HSP is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrician to support the installation, diagnosis, testing, repair, and maintenance of vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
- Position: Automotive Electrician
- Salary: $77,000 plus Superannuation
- Job Type: Permanent, Full Time, must be available to work at least 38 hours per week. Primary Responsibilities:
· Diagnose faults in vehicle electrical and electronic systems using specialised diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and manufacturer specifications.
· Install, test, calibrate, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems associated with electric roller covers, central locking systems, lighting systems, sensors, control modules, and other vehicle-integrated equipment.
· Conduct electrical fault-finding and system performance testing to identify and rectify wiring, circuit, and electronic component failures.
· Inspect, repair, and replace defective wiring harnesses, switches, relays, actuators, batteries, connectors, control units, and other automotive electrical components.
· Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and electrical schematics to accurately diagnose and repair faults.
· Configure and test electrical accessories and integrated vehicle systems to ensure safe operation and compliance with manufacturer requirements.
· Perform preventative maintenance and servicing of automotive electrical systems to maximise reliability and performance.
· Conduct final quality inspections and testing to verify the effectiveness of repairs and installations.
· Maintain accurate service records, diagnostic reports, and documentation relating to repairs, testing, and maintenance activities.
· Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures, and industry standards.
· Collaborate with production, installation, and technical teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of customer orders and service requirements.
· Stay up to date with emerging automotive electrical technologies, diagnostic techniques, and industry developments. Key Skills and Attributes:
· Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or higher qualification in a relevant field.
· At least one year of relevant post-qualification experience as an Automotive Electrician preferred.
· Robust diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills in automotive electrical and electronic systems.
· Experience working with vehicle-integrated electrical accessories and control systems is highly regarded.
· Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
· Professional attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
