POSITION DESCRIPTION — HEAD CHEF As Head Chef, you will lead the entire kitchen operation and be responsible for delivering exceptional food standards, consistent execution, and a high-performing team. You will drive menu development, maintain operational discipline, and work closely with venue leadership to create a kitchen environment defined by quality, efficiency, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Lead all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth, effective service across all meal periods. Oversee and execute daily food preparation, maintaining consistency, portion control, and plating standards. Manage ordering, supplier relationships, stock rotation, and food cost controls to meet financial and operational targets. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety compliance, ensuring all logs, procedures, and systems are upheld. Develop, test, and implement seasonal menu items and specials, showcasing creativity aligned with the venue’s identity. Train, mentor, and manage junior chefs and kitchen staff, building skill, confidence, and a strong kitchen culture. Implement and refine kitchen systems and workflows, driving efficiency and continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with venue leadership and FOH management to ensure seamless communication, service flow, and guest experience. ABOUT YOU 5+ years’ experience in a Senior Chef or Head Chef role, with proven leadership capability Deep passion for seasonal, produce-driven cooking and refined lunch/dinner dishes Calm, composed, and solutions-focused in high-pressure environments Confident leading the kitchen, managing service flow, and maintaining standards Holds (or is willing to obtain) a Food Safety Supervisor certificate Strong communicator who builds trust, respect, and collaboration across the team Organised, reliable, and committed to developing both the venue and the people within it Available for a mix of daytime and evening shifts, including weekends WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN A stable full-time role with 4–5 consecutive rostered days Genuine work/life balance Access to premium, ethically sourced ingredients Mentorship from an Executive Chef who values growth Opportunity to step into a defining role in a fast-growing kitchen Work in one of Australia's most desirable locations with a high-energy, positive team Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year Benefits:
