About the Role We are currently recruiting Senior Electrical or Civil Project Engineers to join our skilled team as we continue to expand our project portfolio across New South Wales and Queensland. We are seeking experienced project delivery professionals who can lead technical activities across multiple areas of the project management framework. This role offers exposure to all project phases, from tender through to completion. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will lead and manage the engineering components of major infrastructure projects, ensuring their timely and cost‑effective delivery from concept through to close‑out. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including design, construction, and subcontractor partners—to support seamless project execution. You will play a critical role in overseeing quality assurance, risk management, and compliance with safety and environmental standards, while leveraging strong technical expertise and problem‑solving skills to enhance project outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the upgrade of critical transmission infrastructure as part of the green energy transition. Our Civil and Electrical Engineers work across all project phases, with projects typically involving civil, structural, and electrical scopes, such as transmission line and substation works, with project values generally ranging between $10 million and $100 million. Responsibilities
- Manage cost control, ensuring the project meets budget targets, while identifying and forecasting risks and opportunities.
- Drive commitment to quality at all levels, ensuring the project team prioritizes defect resolution and implements corrective actions for non‑conformances.
- Collaborate with designers and clients to solve problems, achieving the best project outcomes, while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
- Oversee project delivery systems and processes, providing input for short, medium, and long‑term planning, while reviewing subcontractor programs and integrating critical areas into the project plan.
- Assist with program planning, developing program look‑aheads and identifying risk and resolve critical delays.
- Work with our design teams to provide overall feedback and constructability reviews.
- Support and provide technical assistance to our supervisors and superintendents.
- Oversee and manage the procurement of plant, equipment and resources.
- Provide regular reporting including end‑of‑month cost reviews and reporting.
- Work with our project controls team to provide feedback on works completed and upcoming works planning.
- Ensure overall quality management including all necessary documentation.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, subcontractors and local community groups to achieve a best‑for‑project and best‑for‑community outcome.
- Provide mentorship to a team of experienced engineers. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive proven experience working with HV systems in Transmission Lines and/or Substations.
- Documented experience working with HV systems in construction, industrial, or utility environments.
- Experience influencing and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes whilst developing strong working relationships.
