- Handling of quartz, ceramic, anodized aluminum, stainless steel, and coated metal parts
- Ensure fixtures protect critical surfaces during:
- Chemical cleaning
- Plasma cleaning
- Thermal bake, coating, and curing processes
- Design for multiple reuse cycles while minimizing wear, damage, and deformation Production Line Parts Recycle & Cleaning
- Develop mechanical fixtures for:
- Wet benches, ultrasonic cleaning, mega sonic cleaning, and DI rinse processes
- Production-line recycle flow (incoming → cleaning → inspection → recoating → qualification)
- Support layout and tooling design for parts recycle production lines
- Optimize fixtures for high throughput, ease of loading/unloading, and operator ergonomics
- Enable traceability through fixture design compatibility (ID marking, tagging, orientation control) Mechanical Design & Engineering
- Create 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings with GD&T;
- Perform tolerance analysis to ensure post recoating dimensional compliance
- Select materials compatible with:
- Aggressive chemicals (acid, alkaline, solvents)
- Cleanroom standards and EHS requirements
- Design modular and adjustable fixtures to accommodate part variation and coating thickness changes Manufacturing, Quality & Yield Support
- Troubleshoot fixturerelated issues impacting:
- Cleaning effectiveness
- Coating uniformity
- Part damage or contamination
- Support qualification of recycled parts before release to production
- Drive continuous improvement of:
- Cycle time
- Scrap reduction
- Cost of ownership for reusable parts
- Collaborate with process, equipment, quality, and EHS teams Supplier & Vendor Interaction
- Interface with:
- Recoating vendors
- Parts cleaning suppliers
- Machine shops and fixture fabricators
- Review DFM feedback, validate first article fixtures, and support process transfer
- Manage fixture BOMs, revisions, and lifecycle documentation Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 3 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing
- Robust CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of:
- Precision mechanical design and GD&T;
- Surface finishing and coating impact on dimensions
- Fixture design for chemical and cleanroom environments
