Water Hygiene Engineer – Brighton

Due to current business requirement, this well established and growing water treatment/water hygiene with a large presence across the country company is currently seeking the services of a competent, versatile, hardworking, and multi-skilled Water Hygiene Engineer in and around the Brighton area and will include applications Eastbourne, Crawley, Hastings, and the surrounding areas. The applicant must come from a good chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background and at the same time must have valid and varied experience working within this role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry. Must be well versed with the water treatment industry and legislation. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and client-facing skills. Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package. Purpose of the Role Covering various contracts which including residential, commercial and industrial properties – designated by the client. Key Tasks Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, etc. Monitoring client’s air and water systems and ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation. Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers. Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analyzing water systems. Interpreting the results and maintaining and installing dosing systems, etc. Providing accurate reports and maintaining paper work. Liaising with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients on a regular basis. Dealing with issues effectively and appropriately. Requirements/Attributes Overall the successful post-holder will be versatile, versatile and have good work ethic and have the ability to work independently and under pressure and at the same time must be prepared to travel to designated sites.
