- Manage Others: Yes Role Overview The Motor Claims Technical Assurance Team Leader plays a pivotal role in guiding and overseeing the Technical Assurance Team, responsible for conducting the Technical Quality Assurance program and targeted Quality Assurance activities for Motor Claims & Assessing. The Motor Claims Technical Assurance Team Leader is responsible for providing day to day management of the team and ongoing training and coaching to ensure that the Technical Assurance program is delivered in alignment with the Technical Assurance Standard and operating procedures. - Lead, coach and performance manage the team to deliver high-quality assurance outcomes
- Set clear expectations, monitor performance and support development and career growth
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, safety, wellness and workplace standards Operational Delivery & Reporting
- Plan and coordinate team activities to meet service levels and commitments
- Monitor performance against KPIs, providing insights and driving continuous improvement
- Contribute to targeted assurance reviews and stakeholder reporting Continuous Improvement & Quality Assurance
- Ensure QA activities align with standards and regulatory obligations
- Identify and implement improvements across the Motor Claims value chain
- Maintain alignment with operational and business changes
- Stakeholder & Communication
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Communicate updates, changes and outcomes clearly across teams Technical, Compliance & Risk
- Provide technical guidance on claims processes, systems and compliance
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards
- Promote strong risk awareness, governance and WHS responsibility Administration & Support
- Maintain accurate reporting, documentation and systems
- Support quality control and ensure reliable outputs for stakeholders
- Undertake additional duties as required Experience
- Proven ability to lead, performance manage, coach and mentor a team
- Experience in Quality Assurance or Process improvement
- Proven experience in Stakeholder Engagement
- Demonstrable written communication skills including but not limited to report writing
- Understanding of the Claims Value Chain in insurance
- Understanding of the Industry and Regulatory Obligations for General Insurance Benefits
