Our customer is a leading provider of creative financial solutions for small and medium businesses, they are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Underwriter to join their growing team.

About the role:

Responsibilities:

Maintain records and documentation of credit decisions, and comply with relevant regulations and compliance standards.

Assist with merchant incoming calls relating to general queries involving the Credit Risk / Underwriting Team

Assist with the overall daily collection debit order process, managing the changing of daily debit orders, dealing with unpaids and the liaison with the merchants as appropriate

Keep up to date with the financial services industry, the credit market, and the best practices in credit underwriting.

Provide input into the maintenance of all credit risk policies, workflows and other relevant credit risk / underwriting documentation

Provide credit risk support / guidance to the broader organisation to ensure common understanding

Assist in the production, presentation of portfolio and operational analytical results

Requirements:

A relevant qualification or equivalent work experience in the field of credit underwriting.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to evaluate financial information and risk factors.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.

Knowledge of the financial services industry, the credit market, and the relevant regulations and compliance standards.
