Casual Chef | Yhidc (Northam)

Responsibilities Assemble, prepare, and produce food requirements as directed by the Catering Manager. This includes food safety, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, managing stock control, and adhering to all kitchen policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with the HACCP Food Safety Plan, monitoring food safety standards and practices, maintaining hygiene in food preparation areas, and completing all Food Safety Documentation accurately and timely. Monitor and enforce food storage standards, ensuring proper handling and rotation of stock using First In, First Out (FIFO) principles, and maintaining appropriate holding temperatures for perishable items. Ensure compliance with our Standards of Business Conduct and contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement. Qualifications
- Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Mandatory or willing to apply
- Knowledge of menu and nutritional standards
- Full understanding of HACCP Food Safety guidelines
- Exemplary bulk cooking skills (ideal Aged Care or Resources experience)
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
