Salary: $64,411
- $72,399 p.a. plus 11.5% Super
- Permanent/Full Time Position

**About the role** This is a **permanent**, **full-time**, Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm position working **35 hours** per week. This position is located at the **Nowra Administration Building**.
**Duties** Reporting directly to the Team Leader
- Accounts Payable, the focus of this position is to:
- Process invoices for payment (including credit notes) and ensure a high level of attention to detail, to ensure data is accurate and payments are processed correctly.
- Identify and resolve any invoice related issues with Suppliers, Requisitioners and Council staff.
- Review supplier accounts to ensure data integrity, timely payments and ensure Council is not placed on stop supply, including monitoring monthly Statements, and completing regular reconciliations.
- Manage and report customer complaints and difficult/sensitive issues to the Accounts Payable Supervisor when they arise
- Share information within the work group to ensure others are kept informed of issues
- Provide back up support to the Accounts Payable team to ensure completion of peak workloads, and ensure all supplier accounts are managed effectively and are kept up to date
- Partake in the upskilling / training of skills provided within the organisation to improve systems and processes
**Skills & Experience** To be successful in the position, you will possess:
- Certificate III in Financial Services or experience in a finance environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable procedures in a large organisation.
- Demonstrated experience and competence in a Financial Management System (ie Technology One’s OneCouncil or in a similar).
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship or right to work in Australia (visa)
Council requires applicants for this position to undergo a National Criminal History Check during the recruitment process. This check will be at the expense of Council.
