We are seeking a Child Care Worker to join our team in Nowra.

Position Role:

As a Childcare Worker, you will provide care and supervision for children in the childcarecentre. You will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining a high-quality learningenvironment that supports each child’s development and overall well-being. In this role, youwill support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development while ensuringtheir safety at all times. Childcare Workers plan and implement engaging activities,supervise play, assist with daily routines, and communicate regularly with parents orguardians to provide updates on their child’s progress and needs.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

Assisting in the preparation of materials and equipment for children's education andrecreational activities

Managing children's behaviour and guiding children's social development

Preparing and conducting activities for children

Entertaining children by reading and playing games

Supervising children in recreational activities

Supervising the daily routine of children

Supervising the hygiene of children

Qualifications:

· AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training,

· or AQF Certificate IV or at least three years of relevant experience

Skills and Experience:

· At least 2 years experience as a Childcare Worker

· Confident with the National Quality Framework, EYLF and exceeding practices

· Robust communication skills to foster professional, respectful relationships

· Organised, proactive and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children,families, educators and the community.
