Job Ad Start Date: 26/05/26 Job Ad Finish Date: 25/05/6? ?About the Role: C&J; Fabrications is seeking a qualified and experienced Pressure Welder to join our fabrication and manufacturing operations in Australia. The successful candidate will perform high-quality pressure welding on pipes, vessels, structural components, and heavy fabrication equipment according to Australian Standards, engineering specifications, and workplace safety requirements. This role is crucial in supporting operational demands within the manufacturing and engineering sector, where suitably qualified Australian workers have not been available despite genuine recruitment efforts. Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform pressure welding using MIG, TIG, FCAW, Stick, and other welding techniques.
- Weld pressure pipes, tanks, boilers, and structural steel components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
- Operate welding equipment and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
- Conduct weld preparation, grinding, gouging, cutting, and finishing.
- Inspect completed welds for structural integrity and quality compliance.
- Perform welding in accordance with AS/NZS welding standards and site specifications.
- Maintain workshop safety and comply with WHS requirements.
- Complete fabrication and repair work within project deadlines.
- Participate in shutdowns, maintenance projects, and site installations as required. Minimum Requirements: Qualifications:
- Relevant Trade Qualification equivalent to:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, or
- A recognized international welding trade qualification.
- Welding certifications are advantageous. Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of post-trade experience as a Pressure Welder.
- Experience in heavy fabrication, manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, or industrial environments is preferred. Skills:
- Solid knowledge of pressure welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials.
- Knowledge of Australian welding and safety standards.
