Gym Receptionist / Member Consultant Ironforge Fitness – Blackburn, VIC Ironforge Fitness is looking for a confident, reliable and well-presented Gym Receptionist / Member Consultant to join our team. This is more than just a front desk role. We are looking for someone who can deliver excellent customer service, create a strong first impression for every member and guest, and confidently assist with membership enquiries and sales. If you are friendly, proactive, organised, and enjoy working in a fast-paced gym environment, we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for someone who is professional, dependable, and able to represent our brand with confidence. About the Role Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting members and guests in a warm and professional manner
- Handling front desk enquiries in person, by phone, and online
- Assisting with new membership enquiries, tours, and sign-ups
- Delivering excellent customer service to members
- Managing bookings, basic administration, and system updates
- Keeping the reception area clean, organized, and presentable
- Supporting club promotions, member communication, and day-to-day operations What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong communication and people skills
- A friendly, confident, and professional manner
- Excellent reliability and punctuality
- Previous experience in reception, customer service, retail, hospitality, or sales
- Australian work rights are required for this position
- A minimum of 1 year's previous experience in customer service is required
- Confidence speaking with current people and handling enquiries
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Highly Regarded
- Experience in a gym, fitness, retail, hospitality, or membership-based environment
- Sales or customer conversion experience
- Confidence giving tours and speaking about memberships
- Social media or content experience Hours & Availability This is a casual role with approximately 12 to 20 hours per week. Shifts are generally 4 hours each and are rostered across: Monday to Friday
- 9:00am–1:00pm
- 1:00pm–5:00pm
- 5:00pm–9:00pm Weekends
- 10:00am–2:00pm Applicants must have genuine ongoing availability for at least 3 shifts per week. Evening and weekend availability is highly preferred. Additional Benefits
