National Pharmacies is seeking enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistants to join our Mitcham team and support our mission to deliver outstanding service and care to our members and customers. In this role, you’ll support the retail area of the pharmacy by ensuring smooth daily operations, provide the best advice on our products and services and deliver the experience our members and community expect. **Roster
- Position 1**: A 4-week rotating roster averaging 9-17 hours per week, including weekday and some Saturday and Sunday shifts. Roster Position 2 A 4-week rotating roster averaging 7.5 -14 hours per week, including weekday and some Saturday and Sunday shifts. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service and information to support our customers Drive member and customer engagement, contributing to monthly membership sign-up targets. Complete daily tasks in the retail section, prioritising customer service and maximising sales opportunities. Achieve monthly sales budgets and maximise profitability through proactive selling and merchandising. Ensure operating standards are followed during retail sales and stock management. Support pharmacy services to maximise sales and customer care. Provide solutions and alternatives to customer enquiries, referring to the pharmacist as required. Follow Pharmacy Medicines (S2) and Pharmacist Only Medicines (S3) protocols in every interaction. Ensure date checking and rotation of stock to minimise wastage. Set up retail promotional activities and planograms in line with marketing campaigns and merchandise team templates. Maintain compliance with legislation and documented operating policies and procedures. Operate the POS system and handle cash transactions accurately Ensure the retail area of the pharmacy is reflecting company standard by keeping the store neat and tidy. Working collaboratively with your teammates and taking accountability for your own tasks and responsibilities set by your manager. About You Genuine interest in health, wellbeing, and customer service. Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail setting (preferred but not essential) Strong communication and customer service skills both in person and over the phone. Ability to thrive in a busy environment by serving multiple customers at once and multi-tasking A positive, collaborative and team-oriented attitude Passion for retail and customer service Community minded Certificate II or III in Community Pharmacy (advantageous but not required) Why Join Us?
