Motor Mechanic (Tanunda)

Tanunda Automotive Pty Ltd is a growing automotive repair workshop located in Tanunda, South Australia. We are currently looking for a reliable and skilled Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles while ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical issues using modern diagnostic equipment
- Repair and replace engine components, brakes, suspension, and steering systems
- Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Perform clutch, transmission, and cooling system repairs
- Carry out air conditioning servicing and regassing (if licensed)
- Assist with auto electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Maintain accurate service records and job reports
- Ensure all work is completed according to industry safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
- Communicate effectively with management regarding vehicle repairs Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Motor Mechanic
- Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
- Auto electrical knowledge preferred
- ARC/Arctick licence for automotive air conditioning is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s licence preferred Benefits
