Medical Receptionist (Murdoch)

About the role We are seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our growing team at Lung Function Services' in Murdoch, Western Australia. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our medical practice, providing exceptional customer service to our patients and supporting our clinical staff. We are seeking a medical receptionist on a Thursday 8.30am-5.00pm and Friday 8.30am-4.00pm, plus the cover of annual leave and personal leave. What you'll be doing 1. Greeting and welcoming patients, both in-person and on the phone, and providing a positive first impression of our practice 2. Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including making reminder calls 3. Handling patient enquiries and providing information about our services 4. Maintaining accurate patient records and updating electronic medical systems 5. Assisting with the coordination of patient flow and managing the waiting room 6. Performing various administrative duties to support the overall operations of the practice What we're looking for 1. Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role within a healthcare setting with Genie software is desired 2. Proficiency with MS Office programs and busy phone switchboard 3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, colleagues and medical staff 4. Robust organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively 5. A friendly, empathetic and compassionate approach when dealing with patients 6. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to medical practice protocols 7.
