Our residential services are delivered within **group housing environments**, supporting participants with varying levels of functional and behavioural support needs.

**About This Role**

As a **Residential Care Officer**, you will provide care, supervision, and structured support to NDIS participants living in **SIL, SDA, and respite accommodation**. The role involves assessing participant needs, implementing individual support and behaviour plans, and ensuring a secure and supportive residential environment.

**Work Location** Onsite at BJ Care Services’ NDIS-approved Supported Independent Living (SIL), Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and Respite Care residential facilities across Victoria, with administrative reporting to the head office at Suite 21/445 Princes Highway, Officer VIC 3809.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Supporting children and adults with disabilities within group housing and residential care settings
- Assessing participant needs and contributing to the development and implementation of individual support and behaviour support plans
- Supervising and coordinating daily care routines within the residence
- Supporting education, life skills, and community participation programs
- Monitoring participant wellbeing and responding to incidents in accordance with NDIS standards
- Maintaining accurate documentation, reports, and case notes
- Liaising with families, allied health professionals, and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational policies.

**To Be Successful, You Will Have Location**
- Certificate IV or higher qualification in Disability, Community Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience working in residential disability care, group housing, SIL, SDA, or institutional care settings
- Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours of concern
- Understanding of the NDIS framework and person-centred care principles
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work rotating rosters, including weekends and overnight shifts
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
