Role Description This is a contract role for an AS 2885 Coded Welder based in Exmouth, Western Australia (WA). The welder will perform coded welding tasks, specifically aligned with AS 2885 industry standards, to ensure the fabrication and maintenance of structural, mechanical, and piping systems. Responsibilities include preparing and welding components, conducting quality assurance inspections, interpreting technical drawings, and collaborating with the team to ensure work is performed to the highest standards and safety protocols. This is an on-site position that requires strict adherence to industry compliance and safety requirements in challenging work environments. Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in AS 2885 Coded Welding and hands-on experience with various welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and arc welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately.
- Commitment to workplace safety with experience in following safety standards and conducting quality assurance checks.
- Previous experience in on-site welding in industries such as energy, resources, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Welding certifications that meet AS 2885 requirements and associated regulatory standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and communicate project progress clearly.
- Willingness to work in Exmouth, WA, under various environmental conditions.
- Physical fitness and ability to meet the demands of physically strenuous tasks safely and efficiently.
