IT Support Officer (Orange)

Weekly Hours & Salary Weekly Hours: 35 (Flexible work arrangements including rostered days off available). Weekly Salary: $1,390.09

Responsibilities Reporting to the IT Operations Team Leader, this position is responsible for providing first-line support to Council staff, Councillors and customers for Information Technology’s end‑user equipment, servers, network, applications and general technology.
- Providing phone, remote and face‑to‑face first level (Helpdesk) support and training to Council staff and Councillors.
- Ensure operational maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, and imaging, are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor Information Technology Helpdesk ticket queues ensuring adherence to in‑place service levels, escalating tickets as required.
- Manage information systems to support the operation of Council’s Information Technology. Skills / Experience To be successful in this position you will need:
- Information Technology qualifications or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with, and troubleshooting, computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and Android/iOS mobile devices.
- Demonstrated experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Excellent time management and problem‑solving skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks.
- Enthusiastic champion of technology and its ability to drive improvements in work processes and environments.
- Positive person who thrives on collaboration and communication, seeing these as essential to building a good team environment.
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory criminal records check. What We Offer
