Responsibilities Reporting to the IT Operations Team Leader, this position is responsible for providing first-line support to Council staff, Councillors and customers for Information Technology's end‐user equipment, servers, network, applications and general technology. Providing phone, remote and face‐to‐face first level (Helpdesk) support and training to Council staff and Councillors. Ensure operational maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, and imaging, are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Monitor Information Technology Helpdesk ticket queues ensuring adherence to in‐place service levels, escalating tickets as required. Manage information systems to support the operation of Council's Information Technology. Skills / Experience To be successful in this position you will need: Information Technology qualifications or relevant experience. Demonstrated experience working with, and troubleshooting, computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and Android/iOS mobile devices. Demonstrated experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration. Excellent time management and problem‐solving skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks. Enthusiastic champion of technology and its ability to drive improvements in work processes and environments. Positive person who thrives on collaboration and communication, seeing these as essential to building a good team environment. Ability to obtain a satisfactory criminal records check.
