Description
We believe in investing in the future of our industry. You don't need years of workshop experience to join us—we hire for attitude and train for skill. If you are a motivated individual looking to kickstart a lifelong career in machining and manufacturing, we want to hear from you. The Role
As an Apprentice Machinist, you will learn the trade from the ground up. Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will learn how to produce, modify, and assemble vital components for our agricultural machinery line-up. You'll gain hands-on experience with both manual and CNC equipment. Your day-to-day will involve learning how to: ● Operate and set up manual lathes and heavy-duty drill presses. ● Operate and monitor modern CNC machinery. ● Machine and fit components into completed assemblies to high quality standards. ● Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings. ● Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) for quality control. ● Undertake fitting tasks that involve manual lifting and general material handling. ● Maintain a clean, secure, and efficient workstation. What We Are Looking For
This is a true entry-level role. No prior trade qualification is required, but you must bring the right mindset. We are looking for: ● Passion: A genuine interest in machining, manufacturing, or mechanical trades. ● Aptitude: Strong basic math skills and a natural mechanical aptitude (you like figuring out how things work). ● Mathematics: Year 10 level basic math skills are required to perform calculations and measurements accurately. ● Reliability: You are punctual, dependable, and take pride in your work. ● Coach-ability: An eager attitude and a willingness to listen, learn, and take direction from experienced tradespeople. ● Physical Fitness: Capability to safely handle manual lifting, fitting tasks, and a active workshop environment. ● Age Requirement: Candidates must be 16 years or older to be eligible for this apprentice position. ● Work Rights: Australian citizenship is required for this apprenticeship position.
