The role As Product Owner, you’ll guide the future of our Portfolio and Project Management platform—from big-picture thinking through to day‑to-day delivery. You’ll work closely with teams across the department to make sure the platform is practical, easy to use and delivers real value. It’s about helping people work smarter, stay connected and deliver better outcomes. Day to day, you’ll:
- Set the direction and roadmap for the platform
- Prioritise work that delivers the most value
- Support Agile ways of working and continuous improvement
- Bring people together — from technical teams to business stakeholders
- Help drive adoption so the platform becomes part of how we work every day

- Proven experience leading product development in an Agile setting, including backlog management, roadmap planning and delivering customer‑centric outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and translate business needs into actionable solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in change management, communication and driving adoption of digital platforms and ways of working.
- Strong product ownership capability—proven experience leading end‑to‑end product lifecycles, including defining product vision, shaping roadmaps, and prioritising backlogs to deliver maximum value to customers and the business.
- Agile leadership and delivery expertise—hands‑on experience working in Agile environments, guiding cross‑functional teams, participating in Scrum ceremonies, and ensuring delivery remains aligned to strategic objectives.
- Customer‑centric mindset—ability to deeply understand user needs, use data, research and feedback to inform decisions, and design solutions that improve user experience and drive adoption.
- Stakeholder engagement and influence—strong communication and negotiation skills to work across business and technical stakeholders, balance competing priorities, and build alignment on product direction.
- Strategic thinking and commercial acumen—ability to assess value, viability and return on investment, making informed decisions that balance immediate business needs with long‑term outcomes.
- Change and adoption leadership—demonstrated success driving organisational change, including delivering communications, training and engagement activities to embed new platforms and ways of working.
- Governance, risk and delivery discipline—experience implementing product governance, ensuring compliance and managing risks across the product lifecycle while maintaining delivery momentum.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills—ability to evaluate product performance, interpret complex information, and continuously improve outcomes through data‑driven insights. What is an essential requirement
