Production Team – Leading Hand (Ormeau)

- Experience as a Leading Hand / Senior Operator in precast, concrete, manufacturing, or construction (2–3+ years).
- Ability to read drawings and follow specifications with strong attention to detail.
- Explicit communication, solid organisation and time-management skills.
- A practical safety mindset and confidence coaching others on safe systems of work.
- Nice to have: Certificate III in Process Manufacturing (or similar), Lean/CI exposure, forklift ticket, overhead crane/rigging basics. Forklift ticket and gantry crane experience is beneficial ROLE EXPECTATIONS
- Lead and mentor a small crew to hit production KPIs while maintaining a safety-first culture.
- Plan, organise, and allocate tasks across mould prep, pours, finishing, curing, and fit-off.
- Read and interpret drawings/specs; ensure products meet design, quality, and client requirements. Limited requirement to read plans.
- Work closely with planners to sequence work, remove bottlenecks, and achieve on-time delivery.
- Monitor QC checkpoints; complete checks and rectify defects early.
