**THE OPPORTUNITY**

An exciting opportunity has become available for a **Supply Planner **to join our** Purchasing team **based in our Ormeau head office**. **This position involves working as part of our collaborative Supply Chain team
- reporting to the Qld Purchasing Manager.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Purchasing of various stocked and bought in products for our retail stores and warehouses across Qld.
- Liaising with key suppliers and internal stakeholders providing timely and accurate customer service.
- Managing suppliers items including pricing, quality, lead times and service.
- Maximising the sales of inventory items whilst maintaining an productive stock level.
- Supporting with purchase orders for Stratco’s retail, trade sales & online customers.
- Accurately forecasting, placing, and expediting purchase orders with manufacturing and external suppliers.
- Involvement in continuous improvement projects and working with stakeholders at Stratco locations nationally.
- Collaborate with team members, other departments and projects as required.
- Strict adherence to our national critical safety rules & contributing to a protected working environment.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Essential
- intermediate level of excel skills (pivot tables & v-lookups minimum)
- Desirable
- demonstrated experience in a Supply or Demand Planning role with industry experience either in Retail, FMCG and/or Manufacturing
- Desirable
- tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce, Procurement, Supply Chain, Planning or other related discipline, would be advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, where process optimisation, new system implementation and cost reduction is a focus
- Advanced problem-solving capability, with the ability to question process and recommend ideas to mitigate supply risks
- Desirable
- an innate set of skills in negotiation, procurement, and contract management, working collaboratively and developing strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Experience in managing supply chain network models and system levers to achieve supply metrics
- Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
