The Role We are seeking a powerhouse Kitchen Production Manager to take the reins of our busy production and prep kitchen. This is a role for a logistical mastermind. You will be responsible for managing all staff, forecasting prep levels, controlling stock, and maintaining immaculate health and safety standards. - Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and manage our kitchen team. Foster a positive, high-performing culture focused on accountability and efficiency.
- Production & Prep Management: Oversee all daily prep levels based on catering schedules. Ensure maximum consistency and efficiency across high-volume food production.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Manage ordering, strict stock rotation (FIFO), inventory levels, and supplier relationships to minimize waste and hit food cost targets.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Maintain immaculate kitchen standards. Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations (HACCP), cleanliness protocols, and equipment maintenance.
- Quality Control: Taste, inspect, and approve all elements to ensure they meet the high standards The Deli by Greenhorns is famous for. What We Are Looking For
- Proven Leadership: Experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume production kitchen, large-scale catering operation, or busy commercial environment.
- Logistical Mindset: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to forecast bulk prep levels and manage complex production schedules.
- People Skills: A manager who leads by example, communicates clearly, and knows how to motivate a team during peak periods.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of food cost control, portion control, and waste management.
- Qualifications: Relevant commercial cookery qualifications and an up-to-date Food Safety Supervisor certificate. Why Work with Us?
