Southern Cross Catholic College invites applications for a Full Time Continuing Maths & Science teacher based at the Scarborough Campus.
Responsibilities
Develop a nurturing and ordered learning workplace that is learner‑centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents, and practices.
Collaboratively design, implement and evaluate quality curriculum programmes and appropriate pedagogy; assess and report student progress and learning outcomes to students, parents and the community.
Work with the leadership team, teachers and other staff to contribute to the skilled life of the school and foster a positive school culture.
Engage in professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
Establish positive relationships in pastoral care, supporting students’ spiritual and moral development.
Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience creating a supportive, learner‑focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programmes in line with the Australian Skilled Standards for Teachers.
Commitment to engage with colleagues, students and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes.
Passion to support students’ spiritual and moral development.
No requirement to be Catholic.
Eligibility & Safeguarding Requirements
Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
