**The Chance**

We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join our team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. If you have a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate data processing and meeting statutory deadlines. Your responsibilities will include accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, and purchasing cards.

**_ Other duties will include:_**
- For the three Racing Codes comprising Greyhounds, Harness and Thoroughbred, process weekly race books, invoices, adjustments and receipts according with weekly deadlines
- Process Accounts Payable Invoice workflow, including verifying coding, GST compliance, Supplier ABN details and facilitating necessary variations to purchase orders or goods receipting relating to invoice workflow
- Assist with the preparation of Tax Invoices and Statements to Clubs
- Monthly reconciliation of racing ledgers in Ci Anywhere
- Assist with customer service requests from internal and external customers
- Update and maintain relevant policies, procedures and working manuals

**Qualifications**: **About You**
- Minimum 3 years’ demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Experience in reconciliation and processing of accounts
- Working towards obtaining a formal accounting qualification.
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of computerised accounting. systems as well as Microsoft Office/Windows environment.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills
- Experience in reconciliation and processing of accounts
