**About the Role**
We’re seeking an Accounts Officer with a positive, can-do attitude to join our experienced finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a supportive environment and enjoys variety in their day.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Checking all supplier invoices have the correct approvals for payment
- Entering invoices for payment and preparation of supplier payments
- Ensuring that all invoices are paid within their payment terms
- Creating sales invoices, sending out to customers and following up for payment when necessary
- Receipting of payments
- Reconcile creditor and debtor accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Reviewing ageing reports and following up on any long outstanding items. Reporting results to senior management.
- Daily and weekly bank statement reconciliations
- Reviewing credit card transactions and posting accurately into the system
- Perform other general accounting & reporting tasks as assigned
- Liaising with vendors and customers
**About You**
To be succeed in this role, you will have:
- Have at least 2-4 years’ experience in an accounts payable, accounts receivable or accounts officer role.
- Construction industry experience (highly regarded)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Understand the basic principles of accounting
- Have the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Have strong attention to detail
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have a positive can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
